Having been an athlete for my entire life, I enjoy and love the benefits of staying active and fit. There is nothing better than getting a good workout in and providing yourself with the energy and sense of accomplishment for the rest of your day.
Upon entering the fitness community, I have made it my mission to help others get on their feet,
start moving and help lead them to a happier, healthier life.
Running and Yoga are my two favorite things to do and I couldn’t be happier to live in Austin where the community is saturated with the two. Growing up I ran cross country, played soccer, and ran hurdles in track. I’ve always loved the high intensity running sports and although I am a bit older (and slower) I still enjoy running 5k’s, 10k’s and half marathons. Signing up for races and setting a goal for myself is perfect motivation to stay in shape and work towards something I find as a success. My next goal is to train for the 3rd hardest half marathon in the world, The Great Wall half marathon. Yes, in China! Being able to experience something so difficult and rewarding is what keeps me motivated.
I am excited to help everyone grow as individuals, reconnect with their body, mind and spirit to enhance this beautiful thing we call life and share my knowledge of fitness, yoga, and how to be happy.
Best of Austin Fitness:
Running the trails of town lake with my dog and practicing yoga with downtown Austin as my view.
What am I most proud of:
My greatest accomplishments so far are graduating from Texas State University and going off on my own to study yoga in Fiji. I am also so proud of my parents for supporting everything I do, I wouldn’t be so brave if it wasn’t for them.
Awesome Tip:
Dance like no one is watching.
Other Facts:
Bachelors of Exercise and Sports Science Pre-Physical Therapy from Texas State University
Certified Yoga Instructor, certified in Savusavu, Fiji
